A rare and fine example of a William & Mary (circa 1690) yew wood and walnut chest of drawers with superb patina. This chest of drawers consists of an oak top of fine patina with fruitwood moulded edge leading down to the arrangement of drawers, two short over three graduated long drawers with oak linings and original brass drop handles, escutcheons and locks. The drawer fronts having burr yew panels surrounded by burr walnut and walnut cross banding to the outer edge. The ends of walnut veneer leading down to a moulded edge to the front and sides, all supported on oak bun feet (not original, replaced at some time). This chest of drawers is in very good condition for age with evidence of some old repairs, it is of stable construction and can go straight into a home or collection.
