It is possible to install these lights in other countries although it may be necessary to purchase different light bulbs suitable to local electricity. They can be used with a dimmer. Palme Lighting is known for the quality of the crystals & originality of design. In this case the traditional sconce is given a Modern twist with teardrop crystals & geometric forms. This Palwa design is a great balance between the Brutalist style of the 60`s with Hollywood Regency glamour & luxury materials. The silver-plated frame has a Brutalist design and is elegantly decorated with quality teardrop crystals beautifully reflecting the light. The combination of these styles makes these wall lights a unique addition to a range of interiors such as Art Deco, Mid-Century Modern, Hollywood Regency, 70`s Glamour, Traditional or Contemporary. The frame of each light has 3 parts: a canopy with crystals fitted to a rectangular plate which has the lamp holder, and a brass wall bracket. The silver-plated canopy is in the shape of a crown. The surface of this `crown` is decorated with an undulated textured pattern in the Brutalist style. It has at the top 7 rounded points curving outwards, each with a tear shape crystal. The bottom portion of the canopy is of similar design, with 7 rounded points facing inwards, however each is without a crystal. The middle of the canopy is composed by the 6 arches, each with a dangling crystal. In total there are 13 crystals distributed in two tiers on each light. These crystals are removable if needed for transport. Each canopy is fitted to a rectangular silver gilt plate. Each side there are 2 cylindrical screws attaching these together. This plate has one white metal lamp holder. There are 3 holes on the rectangular plate which line up to the wall bracket; 3 small brass screws secure the composition. Each wall bracket has two holes to screw to the wall. There is one lamp holder positioned horizontally inside each light. Each carries one standard big screw E 27 light bulb up to 100 Watts. At present fitted & photographed with clear Golf light bulbs of 25 Watts, which are included in the price. It is possible to use other E 27 bulbs. This pair of vintage wall lights is in very good condition. The silver-plated surfaces are in good condition with a warm antique patina and minor marks in line with age.
