Late 18thc ash cricket table

A superb late 18th century (circa 1790) ash cricket table or tavern table with shelf below of fine, faded patina.This table consists of a solid nicely figured two plank ash top with fine, faded patina having the appearance of fruitwood.The top is supported on a tri-form base consisting of a deep rail with three splayed tapering legs joined with a triangular shelf below.This table is in very good condition for age with evidence of old shrinkage to shelf, is of stable construction and can go straight into a home.      Size:Height: 28.5'' / 72.5cmWidth: 25'' / 63.5cmDepth: 26'' / 66cmShelf height: 13.5'' / 34.25cm
