Large carved satyr bracket

A highly decorative large superbly carved Continental large pine bracket in the form of a satyr, possibly Italian.This imposing carving consists of a satyr holding onto the scrolling bracket above him, this bracket supporting the satyr, his figure forming a larger bracket.The satyr is depicted with typical goat horns, ears, tail and legs with carved foliage and scrolled decoration around him.This carving could be fixed to a wall (professionally) and would make a superb statement piece.  The carving is in very good original condition and can go straight into a home.
