A mid 18th century (circa 1740) oak cabriole leg dresser base of good, rich patina (colour).This dresser base consists of a plank top with moulded edge leading down to three drawers with decorative mahogany cross banding, the drawers having original brass knob handles with brass escutcheon plates, the sides being panelled.This leads down to a shaped and pierced frieze with cabriole legs to the front with slipper foot and square legs to the back. This dresser is in excellent condition for age, is of stable construction and can go straight into a home.
