Romeo Rega console table, 160 cm, brass & chrome, 1970`s Italian.This console table has been gently cleaned respecting the vintage patina; it is ready to use. With the mixed metals & geometric patterns this console is characteristic of the work by Italian Romeo Rega, the attributed designer. The minimalist form with smart detail makes this table suitable for a range of Interiors such as Art Deco, Hollywood Regency, 70`s Glamour, Post Modern, Industrial or Contemporary. The core structure is a rectangular frame made of chrome tubing with a square profile, each side having 3 cm width. Each cornner is finished with decorative brass corners. The main frame is enhanced with a brass tubular frame with a rectangular profile which also adds sturdiness to the piece. The inner brass frame is attached to the chrome frame at several junctions with Lucite bridges of a dark purple. At the feet the frames are connected securely with solid brass plates holding the pieces together. The clear glass top sits securely suspended by 10 Lucite bridges. The glass can be lifted out for cleaning or transport. The glass is original to the piece and has a thickness of 0.8 cm. This vintage console table is in very good condition. The frame is sound & strong. The brass is in good condition with minor rubbing to the lacquer tarnished with age. The original vintage glass top is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. Packing is offered free of charge. We take special professional care while packing. The glass top would be removed and wrapped separately in bubble wrap and an outer layer of card. The frame would have bubble wrap and an outer layer of card if necessary.
