An early/mid 20th century pair of mahogany Gainsborough chairs of good quality upholstered in green leather.The chairs consist of a serpentine shaped back rail  leading down to the padded leather arms.The shaped arm supports are carved and moulded with a carved rose and leaf decoration.The legs are of square form, the front legs being moulded with pierced brackets in the corners, the bracket also replicated on the sides.The back legs are slightly splayed with a chamfer on the inside of the leg.    The green leather has a worn appearance but is in very good condition and is fixed with brass tacks. These chairs are in very good condition and can go straight into a home.Size:Height: 39'' / 99cm Width: 25'' / 63.5cmDepth: 26'' / 66cmSeat height: 19.5'' / 49.5cm
