Black fossil marble top. With fine quality gilt bronze mounts with good original gilding. On the doors large gilt bronze female figures standing on spheres holding torches flank the central escutcheon with original locking mechanism and key.The piece is attributed to Jacob Frères rue Meslée. France circa 1810.
