FALCONER'S CUTLERY
Description:

Elegant silver with fire gilding. The two pieces form a set and are very finely worked. The blade of the knife is etched and fire-gilt, it's long , pointed shape suggest that the blade can be dated in the second half of the sixteenth century. The unusual form of the fork indicates that it might be a falconers cutlery set.A similar knife and fork can be found in the catalog of Georg Laue "Kostbare bestecke"number 44.
