Complementary pair of Murano art glass & brass large flush lights by `Hillebrand Lighting`, 1970`s ca, German. Both of these lights have the same design and the same Murano art glass shade. The difference between them is that one is with a base in brushed brass finish and a diameter of 48 cm, the other with a polished brass base and a diameter of 41 cm. Both lights have been thoroughly cleaned respecting the vintage patina. Newly rewired, earthed, in full working order & ready to install. Light bulbs included. These lights were designed to work as either ceiling or wall lights; either statement wall lights or when a flush light is needed with low ceilings. They can sell together or separately. This price is for both lights together. At the focal point of each there is a large handmade Murano glass shade. The quality glass alongside the brass gives this Minimalist design elegance. This pair are ideal for a range of interiors such as Art Deco, Classical, Hollywood Regency, Minimalist, Traditional or Contemporary. Each round glass shade has a sculptural convex shape with a unique swirling pattern of milky white & clear blown cased glass. Polished to a gloss finish on the external side and inside with a satin finish. The result is a softly diffused light. In both lights, the removable glass shade is secured to a large circular solid brass plate through 4 large decorative brass bolts. These bolts screw into individual arms extending from the brass base. The glass shade sits securely in place and is easily removed to gain access to change the light bulbs. Each lamp holder lies horizontally to the surface of the base and has the original solid brass decorative tubes. Each brass base is screwed to the ceiling or wall through 3 holes on the back. The larger light carries 4 standard (E14) small screw light bulbs up to 60 Watts each. The smaller light carries 3 similar standard (E14) small screw light bulbs bulbs up to 60 Watts each. At present both are fitted & photographed with 25 Watt Golf clear light bulbs which are included in the price. Both lights can be used with a dimmer switch. Both lights are in very good condition.
