Maison Jansen nesting tables brass frames & teal trimmed mirror, 1950`s ca, French. These tables have been thoroughly cleaned while respecting the vintage patina. They are ready to use. The Neoclassical & Modernist features executed in solid brass suggest these tables could be from Maison Jansen. The proportions, elegant lines, and repeated geometric forms such as the mirrored trimmed glass are Neoclassical references. Elegant in design, materials & detail, these tables are also very practical. They would suit a range of interiors such as Art Deco, Mid-Century Modern, Hollywood Glamour, Industrial, Traditional or Contemporary. Structurally each table has the original removable vintage glass top with teal tinted mirrored trim. The mirrored trim is 2.5 cm wide. Each glass top sits inside the brass frame. The contrast between the glass in a shade of blue/green and the golden frames make these tables very chic. The column legs terminate at the bottom with a banding in a "Futuristic Machine Age style", each consisting of 3 rings finished to a tapered point then the foot. The bottom the legs are joined together with a brass stretcher which adds to the design & stability. The original vintage removable mirrored tops sit on a flat brass plate and surrounded by a flat vertical solid polished brass decorative trim which make these tables very strong structurally and stable. When stacked together these tables make an interesting geometric pattern. These vintage tables are in very good condition. The frames are sound. The polished brass retains the original clear lacquered finish with antique patina developed over the years in areas adding character and a warm tone as shown in close ups. As the glass tops are original, there is superficial wear in small areas on the back of the silver mirrored trim in line with age & use, but no chips or cracks. Packing is offered free of charge. We take special professional care while packing. These tables are well suited also for export. For safe transport the mirror tops would be wrapped individually in bubble wrap and an outer layer of card. The frames would be bubble wrapped and if necessary an out of layer of card.
