Flowers ceiling light, 13 glass flowers on a solid brass base by Ernst Palme 1970`s, Germany. Thoroughly cleaned respecting the vintage patina. Newly rewired, earthed, in full working order & ready to install. Light bulbs included. This sculptural light has the playful design of a bouquet of clear glass flowers. It is from the famous & historical Palme Lighting company. This light would work well as a flush ceiling light or wall light. The sweet design in quality textured glass & brass would suit a range of interiors such as Art Deco, Traditional, Hollywood Regency, Minimalist or Contemporary. Each removable clear glass flower shade has textured petals and is securely screwed in place to the frame with a gilt plated decorative nut which also serves to finish the flower at the center. On the arm`s thread there is also a lower brass bolt to secure the flower shade at the right height. There are 13 flowers in total in the composition. The solid brass frame is finished in a high polish which reflects a warm light. The circular plate base screws in place to the ceiling through three holes on the base which are hidden under the flowers. The base has 3 tiers. The lower tier has 8 solid brass arms that curve outwards finishing at the end with a flower. The second tier is composed of 4 arms lying horizontally to the base, each with a flower facing upwards at the end. The upper tier is finished with one flower. The 3 lamp holders have polished brass covers with a round decorative brass detail at the junction with the arm. Each lamp holder faces parallel to the base. Carries 3 standard small screw light bulbs (E14) up to 40 Watts each. Presently fitted with standard Pygmy shape clear 25 Watts light bulbs, which are included in this price. This light could take other E14 shape light bulbs. It is possible to use a a dimmer switch with this light. All the glass flowers are in perfect condition. The frame is in very good condition with a nice warm patina achieved over the years under the original clear lacquer which is present. Packing is offered free of charge. We take special professional care while packing. For safe transport the glass flowers would be removed and individually wrapped as would the brass base. Together these pieces would fit nicely into a box for shipping. Also available are a pair of matching wall lights as photographed. Additional dimensions: The diameter of each glass flower is 9 cm.
