A magnificent French mid 19th century Napoleon III period Boulle center table. The table is raised on cabriole legs with a wrap around ormolu sabots. At the top of each leg is a finely chased ormolu mount of a female figure decorated with scrolls and foliate garlands. Each side has a brass inlay of scrolled foliage within a double border. At the front is a single drawer with an impressive shell design ormolu mount flanked by finely chased acanthus leaves. The back of the table is likewise decorated. All below the original thick white Carrara marble top within a pearled designed ormolu border. All original patina and gilt.
